Please help! connecting xbox to amp using Optical

I've got a:
panasonic th42px60b
Sky HD
Xbox 360

my Sky HD box and Xbox are connected to my TV via HDMI cables and the picture quality is great. However, the TV's sound is quite poor.

I have therefore decided to buy one of the Yamaha soundbars which has 2 Optical inputs (or possibly the new YHTS400 with 1 optical input, and i'll get a splitter)

The Sky HD box has got an Optical output which will connect straight to the Yamaha, but i can't work out exactly what i'll need to get the optical audio signal from the Xbox to the Yamaha!

I've seen posts about butchering cables and didn't quite get my head around it. I was hoping there might be a cable already made up that would suit my purpose.

any help is greatly appreciated
