Virgin box picture connection

Hi guys, few days ago my bother in law got a Virgin bos installed. We built a floating wall for his TV beforehand. Due to the floating wall, accessing the back is very difficult I only manage to line the TV with Component Video(still not connected with anything) HDMI and Optical out going to the Denon 1909. What do you think is the best option with picture connection. V box got only scart out and optical out.

Option 1..... run a scart from v-box to s-vhs/component to the amp.( Not sure if picture will make any diff.)

Option 2..... as theres a Component video hanging from the TV already i can just get a Scart to Component adapter.

Option 3...... Take the TV down again and just run a straight Scart to Scart.

Re: Virgin box picture connection

Option 3. The best output from the box will be RGB over SCART. Otherwise you're going to have to either compromise (Option 1) using a lesser quality connection/signal or buy an RGB to Component Converter (£60) and deal with more cables.

Re: Virgin box picture connection

Thanks for the reply, was thinking this for adapter hama Scart to RGB Component Adaptor IN & OUT. Free P&P! on eBay (end time 08-Dec-09 16:59:52 GMT) instead of the £60 one. I understand RGB will only give me picture and then I have to wire the Box again for sound using optical to Amp.Or box going to TV for sound when amp not in use.

Re: Virgin box picture connection

It won't work. You would need something like this or this
