Panny SC-PT860 Setup/Veira Link Issues

Hi All, sorry if this has been covered seperately else where but after hrs of trawling through all the boards i thought it easier to post an hope for the best....

Spose first off easier to tell you what i have then my issue...

TV - Panasonic TH-46PZ81B
Home Cinema Sys - Panasonic SC-PT860 (though the front panel where the IPod goes says SA-PT860)
Sky HD
PS3
Laptop

Now through sheer luck or i dont know what when i received all this i plugged it all in and its worked flawlessley as i wanted it to up until i moved my kit around!

My issue now is after unplugging an re-pluggin it all in, my home cinema system defaults to D-In everytime i switch AV.

At present i have the following(using my TV menu as an indication)

AV1 - Nothing
AV2/S - Nothing
AV3/S - Nothing
Component - Nothing
PC - Laptop - Connected via VGA / Single DIN to dual phono/Scart to AV port on back of Cinema System
HDMI1 - Sky HD - Connect with HDMI / Phono to AUX
HDMI2 - Home Cinema System - HDMI connection to TV
HDMI3 - PS3 - HDMI connection to TV
TV - Nothing

My Viera links seem all screwed up, it forgets about the cinema system, the sound defaulting to D-IN and a few other niggling things.

So my questions are;

1.) What would be your recommended connection set-up (if i dont have the cables/connectors i will buy them, money no object, please give description)

2.) How can i set the default sound input/get the cinema system to change Audio modes when i switch AV's like before. EG i used to switch from AV(PC) to HDMI1(SKY) and the cinema system would automatically switch the sound mode from AV to AUX. It no longer does this!

3.) Any tips/hints or advice anyone thinks relavent for my current set-up please feel free to advise, i'd like to get the most out of what i have!

Nice to meet you all in advance, and thanx for any help you may be able to provide.

Re: Panny SC-PT860 Setup/Veira Link Issues

Regarding the Viera Link stuff. My mums setup is similar but lower down the pecking order (32 TV and 460 rather than 860, close enough)

I've found the viera link to be very variable. It seems to randomly just stop working occasionally. When it does the only way I've found of resolving the issue is basically to turn Viera link off and on and this normally resolved the issue for at least another few months.

Cabling wise I can't see how you are getting any sound either from your TV (not necessarily needed with Sky) or more importantly your PS3, unless you just use TV speakers for PS3?

How many optical ins does the 860 have, ideally you'll be wanting at least 2 (SkyHD and PS3) so an optical switcher might be an idea.
