Talking Need advice to decorate empty wall!

Hey guys....finally making some progress in decorating the lounge. Basically it's a through lounge. Anyway the second half of the lounge will have a Plasma screen on the wall and AV equipment for 5.1

However i'm flumaxed in what to do with the other blank wall in the front half...was thinking of putting a contempory fireplace there but can only have an electric one which means cheesy artifical flames! Any idea what i could do with with the blank wall? Mozaic? Shelves? i would have spent about 900 on a new fireplace and modern surround...so could probably spend that much on something with a contempory look. Want to avoid side cabinets and pictures/paintings. Stupid i know but i just want something different.

Just need ideas really!

thanxs

Without knowing the room layout and how it is decorated, it might be hard to suggest something suitable.

I know you have mentioned you do not want pictures/paintings but one large contemporary canvas would look cool, if you have the space. Alternatively you could try a large rug of sorts.

Hope this Helps

might give you some ideas

a mate of mine has a large spare wall and he has used leather/ suede/ padded squares about 1inch thick about 1 1/2 ft size squares in different colours . different shades of one colour. he has 2 rows of 6

looks really good and he can swop them about when he gets board of 1 arrangment.

he done this because he did not want a canvas or picture wanted more texture and stuff.

they are about 3/4 the way the wall and he has a funky sofa/set thing under it

let us know what you do
