self adhesive conduit-does it work?

Hi

Just wondering if anybody has used plastic conduit/channels of the self adhesive variety and had any problems?

My experience of other self adhesive products is that after a while the glue 'dies' and then things come apart.

Thanks

I've used it in my study to route the cables for 7.1 speakers around the top of the ceiling, and in the corner of the wall, without any issues. Still shows no sign of coming away.

Hi Indus,
It works! But be sure that you stick it in the right place first time round. The adhesive is strong enough to pull off plaster if you need to move it.
Cheers, Mike

I tend to avoid the stuff, unless combining it with strategically placed screws wherever it's likely to be a problem - I've seen it come away so many times.

Re: self adhesive conduit-does it work?

strange, ive done my 5.1 with b and q conduit, and its stuck fine for the last 5 years, all i did was make sure the surface was completely flat and clean before sticking on, if yor worried you can buy it without the sticky stuff on and then use some no more nails adhesive, then it wont go anywhere guarenteed
