Talking Channeling Wires Into 1950's House - Brick Walls

Hey Guys,

Been looking into this for a while so i hope you can all help

Will be moving house soon so need your advice.

My 32" samsung HD LCD will be mounted on the wall in my living room, and just want some info on how to channel the wires.

i dont want to hide them under any trunking.

Ok so were do i start?
i have:
sky HD+
DVD home cinema
blu ray player
Xbox 360

But here is the complicated bit, along with this i have seen some wall sockets for all the componet cables VGA and scart HDMI etc, just like wall sockets, so im thinking about using these. are they any good? and were do i get just the blank cable to run between them from?

Also the monitor socket for the laptop is going to have to be placed the oppersite side of the TV can i channel into the floor?

Then i have to do the same in my room lol

Hope you can help, would be grate for the advice.

Thanks

Alex

Have you got an AV receiver that can chuck out all those inputs onto HDMI for your TV? A lot easier than creating channels for all those cables.

Another alternative would be to create a stud partition onto that wall, and stuff all the wiring inside of that. You could make it a feature wall (to match the width of your bracket, for example, or with lighting inside of it). This route, you can still use your socket idea (which is where I am at) without tearing into the wall.
