Advice required on DIY cables

Hi all. Hope this is the right place to post this as im new to the site.

Im in the process of gathering the components together to build some DIY mains cables. Ive bought the flex (Lapp Olfex 2.5mm CY) and i need some advice in what plugs i should use to terminate either end.

Obviously, i need a wall plug at one end , and for this im looking at MK ToughPlugs.
At the other, i intend to use an IEC 320 c13 plug for one cable and an IEC rewireable c7 (fig8) for the other cable.

I have seen several schurter plugs but not many c7's about.
Question is, would i be better with silver plate, gold plate or rhodium plate?... I can get the MK's in all....the IEC 320 i can only find in silver and for the c7 i can get in silver or rhodium.

Ive heard that silver is a better conductor than gold but oxidises easily so that puts me off silver...but then gold isnt as good a conductor but doesnt oxidise readily?

Can anyone shed some light on which (if any) would be the best choice?

Thanks in advance of your replies!
