I had been interested in the idea of having a room with all the kit in it all working together well. I kind of threw myself in at the deep end, i had messed around with audio before, but i read a few of these threads and my plans got more and more ambitious.
My first Plan: Wall mount LCD TV - Cables Running in Trunking
This was then quickly upgraded to include:
All cables Chased into the Wall and redecorate feature wall
Surround Sound (5.1 - No space for side speakers

)
After this i set to and mounted the TV which went surprisingly well i had read about horror stories of LCD tv's mounted on plasterboard but so far so good
I then acquired a plasterboard saw and went to town on the wall with no regard for what i wanted or what way would be best to get to the power and Ariel plus other cables from the cupboard next to the TV.
I realy wanted it closer to wall but this was as close as i could get it on a tilting bracket
This left me in the situation im in now.
I then got reading the HTPC forum, this is when i got well and truly in over my head. I decided that this one system that did everything sounded like something i wanted. i have now readjusted my plans. i do plan to get a HTPC build but currently don't have the funds and think i should finish what i have started so far. I have however got my pc linked up through the tv currently as a kind of HTPC but i plan to build one with a much better spec.
PC running i tunes through tv
MY Plan Now: I have ordered all the cables that its possible to run from the 32LG700 to the cupboard this will let me expand when time and funds allow.
I didnt spend the earth on cables as i am personaly new to this and havent yet been convinced some of them are worth the money.
Cables:
5m HDMI x3
5m Scart x2
5m Component
5m RCA Audio - For Component (it will go through my amp-but just incase)
5m Optical - from tv to amp (not sure why just thought i cover my ass)
5m VGA
They have all been ordered and i will update with more pics when it come to trying to get them in the wall after my stupidity
If anyone has any advice, tips, thinks ive missed something please say, i want to keep this a clean install so no cables showing at all. I rather find out now then when its too late. Thanks
