Hi Everyone,

so the short back story goes i now have a 26" Phillips HD and a PS3 and a bit of money in my pocket so feel its time to re-do my room after 5 years of beige.

The idea is to go with a black and white theme. White walls with a thickish black border. Black carpet maybe and black furniture.

I want to mount a floating shelf like the thick white one in the diy tutorial above the tele because currently my ps3 and hdd are under my bed and are overheating and maybe get a 2.1 to mount aswell but im not to sure on whether it would look ok.

Maybe you have some ideas?? Pic attatched is the current state of the tele, my idea would be to get some semi circular trunking, run from the floor up behind the tele and to the shelf.

Any other tips/suggestions would be greatly receieved.

what size is your room and how much you looking to spend?

scrap the whole trunking idea. pretty much persuaded my dad to let me chase the cables up from the floor all the way to the floating shelf.

So will be having a exit point behind the tele for power, hdmi, loftbox aerial and componet for my minidv cam and then power(maybe 4way), hdmi for ps3.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated as i am a total noooooob!!

I will get some pics up when we start the job, gonna have to postpone a month, gonna go skiing for a week at the end of march! its either that or the wardrobe and reciever and i love skiing.

edit. also going to need a scart run in as i have s-video and audio on the other end connected to my laptop.
