Discreet TV Aerial

My mum lives in a large block of apartments in central london. It has a private balcony with metal railings. The TV service that's pumbed into the apartment is less than useless. She has resorted to a portable aerial which she keeps close to the window to get a good reception and she can just about get a decent Freeview signal.

My question is, because she is not allowed aerials or dishes on the exterior of her apartment, is there a way of getting a discreet aerial which can be mounted on the balcony but which won't look like a regular aerial to improve her TV reception?

Thanks

Unfortunately, descreet doesn't work when you have signal problems. You could try putting the set top aerial on the balcony as long as it is sheltered by the elements. It may work better outside than in. There are no discreet looking outdoor aerials available. You could try a grid aerial as shown here:

Televes 1083 UHF Grid TV Aerial

This could be mounted close to the wall and might not look too bad.
