Temporarily mounting speakers... how?

Okay I admit that i'm a total DIY noob, but I was just wondering if there is an easy way for me to temporarily mount my side and rear speakers, so I can test them in different positions before I decide on their final positions.

My walls are all flimsy(ish) plasterboard, so I'd rather not make 101 holes all over the place, as it's a nightmare to re-patch it all up

I thought about tripods, but that's not really feasable as one of the heights I wanted to test, is about 2 metres from the ground (plus i'd need 4).

Any help or advice would be gratefully received!

Those telescopic dry walling clamps may be OK. You could probably hire them for a weekend from hire company.

Something like these. You would have to make a clamp to hold the speakers.

Dupe...

Just go down your local super market and get a load of cardboard boxes - cheap easy and no mess.

Or get 50 Argos Books - the new one is out now
