Re: My "Budget" Setup / kinda fake wall...ish..

after the frame was built i inserted shelves using 3/4 inch MDF for support. I also used 1/2 inch MDF on the front as I didnt want to use plasterboard because I didnt want to go down the line of plastering. I measured everything and cut the holes out of the front sheet and because I dont have the skills to cut a straight line I decided to use door paneling to frame my tv and shelves to house my amp,xbox,etc... also added a desk on the left hand side to support my monitor( cannot see in the pics but I have made a shelf for my pc under the center speaker to the right.)

Re: My "Budget" Setup / kinda fake wall...ish..

I had another 4 foot to the left of the unit so I decided to attach a worktop and shelves to hold my decks and records.so this is it so far still have to finish the trim on the front and attach a side panel with a door to get at plugs and what not and then to paint it. I also have to box in the shelves so you cannot see the wires at the back. will post more when finished. criticism welcome

Hello

I like the look of what you have done there! A nice built in look. Only criticism would be to try and upload the pics to photobucket.

Great work tho

V.V nice,

not a critisism, just a thought, would be nice to have the TV on a turntable, and have a second "window" facing the decks so you could see the TV when using them!, still some blinding work, and inspiration for mine

thanks
