ventilation required 50"?

Still having trouble deciding which way to mount my 50".....I originally planned to recess the screen in the wall and leave a 2" gap allround , to give the completely flush look , but to be honest I thought It would look better than some of the pics I've seen posted .

So Now I am considering recessing with no gap , the screen has a slight flange so It would work well with the screen only prutruding say an inch.

I would imagine there would be a lot of heat at the back of the screen and wondered if I should ventilate this somehow ? the screen is on an outside wall so wondered if I could vent it outside ? or do those Ps3/PC cooling fans actually do much ?

Alternatively I've considered recessing the screen but leaving an inch gap around the perimitter, then getting some sort of piano black plastic frame that I could fit around to cover the gap between plasma/wall. This still has the ventilation issue though.

Anyone got any thoughts ? or anyone acheived the completely flush look would care to give me some pointers ?

Cheers.
