Cable management

Hi all,

I see a lot of fine setups on here but it seems many people struggle with all the good old wires. It might not be to everybodies taste but I find that using grey pipe insulation is an ideal way of tidying and hiding wires. Thought id share my little tip. Hope it helps.

Re: Cable management

I thought of trunking but its not as managable and I get more wires into the pipe insulation. I do hate wires. I am going to take some pics of my setup and will post them soon.

Re: Cable management

That stuff looks good but I went for the cheap option. Pipe insulation is about a quid a metre and looks ok.

I thought the whole idea was hiding the ugly cables with something that looks better than them...?

Re: Cable management

Heres some pics of my bedroom. You can see where I used the pipe insulation which is down from the tv and along the skirting board.

Re: Cable management

I just used trunking and painted it the same colour as my walls to keep it discreet. I think trunking comes in different sizes anyway.

Re: Cable management

I think the insulation idea isn`t such a bad one, pity you can`t spray it to match your decor but the paint would crack off I think when you used it.

Shame really as its a cheap and cheerful solution

Re: Cable management

BOSSCOM's solution is awsome!

BOSSCOM Aluminium Cable Cover / Cable Management / Tidy

Its fairly pricey but high quality, I only use it for the cables to the TV because the TV deserves it but speaker wire is buried.

Re: Cable management

I use the D-Line trunking from my tv. I'm lucky to have magnolia walls in my office so got the matching trunking and it works well.

D-line

For some reason I can't link direct to the D-line site

Just ordered some bits and pieces from here, good website with everything you'd need. Trunking, junctions etc etc

Good value too
