Question What a cable nightmare - what to do?

I need to run cable to my rears. The longest cable run is about 12 metres to the furthest speaker. I've got to run along in front of a patio door and then up to the speaker.

My question is simple whats the best way to hide the cables?

The floor is concrete and the walls brick and I don't fancy the cost / dust of cutting either to fit.

What other solutions have you found hide the cabling?

While I'm on the topic what about all that mess behind the TV and hi fi stand? What can I do here?

You're helpful suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

Do a google search 'cable tidy' - plenty of ideas will be highlighted.

If you have carpet, then try the QED QONTOUR ULTRA-FLAT SPEAKER CABLE. I bought two runs of 12-15m for my rears and laid them both around the edge of the room. You can even bend this cable without loss of quality. Try the following link:

Re: What a cable nightmare - what to do?

Ixos also do a flat speaker cable, search for Ixos 607. It has a self adhesive back so it can be stuck where you want it to run and may be another way for you to overcome your problem.

Hope that helps.

Re: What a cable nightmare - what to do?

I've a couple of mates who are both in the same situation where they have concrete floors - they opted for the QED speaker cable and are both chuffed with it.
