Floating ceiling on original concrete ceiling....advice needed?

Hi Guys

Im planning on adding an 8' x 8' floating ceiling to my bedroom so i can put spotlights in it....the only problem is that the original ceiling is concrete (its an ex council flat!)

I only want to have the floating ceiling above my bed hence the size. Im comfortable in building the stud work frame and putting up the spotlights but i was just wandering if anyone has any advice or experience in adding something to a concrete ceiling?

Many thanks

not sure why its a problem mate? just fix wooden battens to the concrete ceiling. You will get a really good fixing.

Just use some long screws 3inch or bigger depending how thick your battens are.
