Can I power Plasma direct off electrical cable in wall?

Hi all,

I am in the process of wall mouting my plasma. Luckily I have two faceplates on the same wall, one is the switch, the other is the 3 pin mains socket.

Ideally I'd like to remove the 3pin socket, pull the cable back up the wall behind where the plasma will go and connect (using a female IEC plug) it directly to the plasma. There will be a fuse in the switch and also one in the female plug.

Here's a diagram I drew up incase I haven't explained myself very well

any problems in doing this?

Thanks

Looks OK to me. if my understanding of your situation is correct.

Based on the thread title I was going top suggest a fused switched spur which is what you have already going to the socket.
