Dear friends

Big confusion, My lounge is 7.5m long and 3.5m width, i am renovating my lounge ,rear speakers are at the middle of the lounge, but i am going to move it to the back of my lounge, at the moment my speaker cables run under the carpet, but i am changin the flooring to wood flooring , so is there any panel or channel available so that i can run speaker cable through the panel or is there any other way of doing it, also my amp is Yamaha DSP AX630SE ans speaker package is Accoustic energy Aegis Evo 3 , Please explain to me can i bi wire it for my home cinema if so what is the advantage of it and which is the best speaker cable to go for , Also how far i have to sit back from 50 inch pioneer plasma ( i will be buying) ,is 15 foot alright or is it too much.Please advice.

Channeling

I put down wood flooring my lounge last year and to hide the wires I used this cable trunking I got from Maplins. Comes on Oak or White and use it instead of the wood beading. You will need to buy the accessory pack separate though for the junctions and corners.

Or you could just use the white square type of trunking along the top of the skirting board.

Bi-Wiring

You can bi-wire the Evo 3's. Your best bet would be to check out the Speaker thread. Some say bi-wiring makes a difference, some say it doesn't. As for speaker cable, depends on your budget, just dont buy some crappy 50p per meter bell wire. I used QED Silver Anniversary from my fronts at about £4.50 per meter and QED Quodos for the rears at about £3.00 per meter.

Seating Distance

Recommended viewing distance is usualy about 1.5 time the diagonal size of the TV. So for a 50" TV, you would sit 75" away. I think this is based on viewing 1080p video. For lower resolutions you can sit further away.

I no expert mind you, This just based on what I have picked from reading these forums.
