What do i leave in the room?

Hi there,

I love seeing other members rooms when you cant see much AV equipment in the room.

I have an opportunity to move as much AV equipment into another room (under stairs), I'm not sure how much to move. Definately Sky HD & PC. Can't move PS3.

What about the receiver? will this be more hassle than its worth.

I will be controlling via Harmony remote over IR extender.

Has anyone else moved the receiver out of the room?

Thanks

Re: What do i leave in the room?

Drew,

My gear isn't out of the room - but it may as well be as it's hidden away behind the floating wall and as is your plan, controlled by an 895 using RF to IR. With regard to moving the PS3, as MitsiTurbo says - why not? If controlling it is an issue - I've seen one of these that I'm thinking of getting. Those more in the know than me will, I am sure, be able to suggest alternatives.

Re: What do i leave in the room?

I have been told that the harmony controls dont support the bluetooth needed forthe PS3, although the device you mention looks like a perfect solution.

The only reason for not moving the PS3 is I thought it will be hassle walking into another room to put in a bluray or game, but then if i have to get up to walk to the unit anyway...

just lazy i suppose.

If you type in "IR Extender" in search on the Pixmania website, you'll see the type of unit I'm using..
