Unhappy Problems to fit a 2m projection screen in my new living room. Suggestions?

Hello,

as some of you may know, we finally moved to the new apartment last weekend. My wonderful wife pretty much tidied up everything after I managed the heavy stuff, so I can focus on the important: setting up the home cinema.

The problem I face is that the living room has a roof slant on one side, precisely the only side where I can put my gear.

I attach a couple of paint drawings I don't have any of the fancy stuff I use at work on my private laptop But they are to scale

This should be fine for music, since it will prevent resonances, but it makes it complicated to fit my projection screen (presently a 1.80m wide one, I plan to buy a 2m motorized one).

The easy solution would be to turn everything around by 180 degrees, but I would compromise front speaker placement due to the entrance door.

I could put everything forward inside the room and avoid most of the roof slant, but then I will have a useless void behind the speakers and will limit the size of my living room.

I could make the screen smaller, but then what's the point to have a PJ? For a 42" size I could as well get an LCD tv... Which I may do, additionally at some point (oh, how easy it is to find new ways to spend money... )

Finally, I thought about acoustically transparent screens, but I am lost here, no idea where to buy or what prices are.

I welcome any suggestions

PS: the mighty subwoofer is in the front right corner at the moment, but not depicted.

Re: Problems to fit a 2m projection screen in my new living room. Suggestions?

A little update after few days of thought...
I installed visio in my laptop and made the drawing attached.

I decided that the only solution is to place the center speaker lower (I love the flexibility of my hifi rack, called "Flexy" BTW). Hopefully, this won't degrade the sound quality. Note that the speaker is lower than the screen but it is also about 400cm behind it.

I tried to optimize the screen size with respect to the viewing distance (36deg horizontal viewing angle).

BTW, the "BAR" on the left side separates the living room from the kitchen.

I guess I will have to live with this compromise, unless somebody suggests a solution with an acoustically transparent projector screen.

Again, comments are welcome.
