It's virtually replaced my laptop and 2 wireless keyboard/mousepad for use with my pc in my house. Just waiting for a good remote control app for my HC kit and I'll be well happy.

Hopefully the logitech google tv companion box will do the trick

Yuki, Am new to this thread but looks like you have a good setup there (and the same sofa as me!). Am about to start something similar and had come to the conclusion that with about 2.5m between screen and sitting position, a projector would probably be overkill (I can manage a 100" screen but fear that a screen that size, while sitting that close, would result in constantly moving heads to try and see what is happening at the sides of the screen).

How far are you from your screen and do you get problems like this?

I sit about 9ft away from an 8ft screen and it is fine mate, gives me the real big screen experience

Cheers Swaaga, kind words but there are some builds on here that make mine look rather basic

Good news is I have invested in a DSLR so will be redoing load as of pics for you all, would be good if I could get near some peoples pics on here

Hi yukichon, i've looked over your thread numerous times and never get bored of it. Havent commented on it up to now and although its a little late i'd just like to say what a transformation it is, a real credit to you! Quick qquestion, where did you get the low level led lights from i wouldnt mind a few of those?

Many thanks and i'll be keeping an eye on your new project.

Regards
James

Thanks yukichon for your kind comments you posted on my cinema room thread

I'm only at the stage I'm at now thanks to people like you inspiring me with your fantastic project. I remember spending hours reading through your thread when i was at the planning stage. I thought then that if I could achieve half of what you've achieved I'd be well happy.

Btw, did you ever find anything to utilise your iPad as a controller for your AV stuff?
Reason I ask is that I recently bought a Harmony 1100 but can't really get on with it. I'm thinking of selling it, even more so as we're now thinking of getting an iPad, and we both have iPhones.

Well it's been a while since ive been on AVF and especially my thread, in fact, think I miss the whole build part now. It's been a few years and I'm thinking of upgrading a few bits, mostly amp and projector, both ate working fine, but itchy feet and all that....any recommendations for either?

Hey NICE build and what a job you have!!

Not sure if you ever found a good application for your ipad but there's one in another post i viewed and have subsequently looked up called demopad. it's pretty nice you can have all of the channels respective logos as full colour buttons instead of the norm 1-9 buttons you should check it out. as far as amp and projector are concerned I'm not sure as I have neither only live in a little 2up 2 down and have a very basic set up.... hopefully up-sizing in the new year so I will start a full scale project like yourself!

haven't been on for a while and wondered what had happened since I last visited..

WOW and all I wanted was the right way to hide some cables for above fireplace wall mount ideas.. Really jealous.

Hope all is well and the business is going strong still

Wishing you well in the US wish that was me. Some of the pic's loaded back in 2009 seem to be broken
