bassically got a mini home cinema in my bedroom, i have got hold of 50metres of rope lighting with 4 diffrent color LED's changable via a remote,

What i wanted was to buil a small box the goes about 2 inches from the ceiling, and 2 inches into the room, then a pice of wood going 1inch up and then rest the rope infront of that, is this ledge called a pelmet?

Anyway wondering if anyones built on only needs to be small rope light is less then 1inch tall/wide and will this be ok?
