Hiding cables in conduit.

Morning all,i have a question if someone can answer it for me.

I am hiding all my a.v.cables in the wall in 2 seperate sections,i plan to put 1 scart & 3 hdmi in one conduit & the tv power lead in the other one.
However i am also going to run a new aerial feed in as well while i have the opportunity,is having the aerial cable & the tv power lead in the same section ok?

The cables will then enclosed and plastered over, they are actually only "hidden" in the wall for approx 30 inches or so.

Also do you think i should put any other cables in there for futureproofing?

Thanks,Ian

I'm no expert but I wouldn't put the power cable and the aerial in the same trunking, you could end up with interferance.

Cat 5 will be usefull if you ever add any network devices

Re: Hiding cables in conduit.

No, If you can, dont put anything in the same conduit as the power. It will cetainly have a detrimental effect.

Re: Hiding cables in conduit.

Definatly a couple of cat 5's, there pretty much nothing you can't run over cat 5 with a balun or a bit of soldering,

at worst it's there as a draw wire for anything else you do need to pull in later.
