rounding speaker edges

Being the DIY guru I am (not !!!), how do you get those nice rounded edges on professional speakers ?

I assume I'd need a router, plus some sort of strange bit, anyone got any links on how to use a router ?

Cheers

Cheers, that's given me a pointer to what I'm doing, might even invest in a cheapish router and have a play.

Watch New Yankee Workshop on Discovery Home & Leisure sometime. Evenings around 8-10 (if you include the +1 channel). Norm is the most amazing woodworker you'll ever witness, and I've never watched an episode where a router isn't involved at some point .

He made a double bench swing with platform in a half hour episode a couple of days ago .

I'd be very VERY careful rounding the edges off a speaker cabinet.
Quite a few of even the more expensive brands often use tongue and groove cabinet construction to keep the costs down.

Yep making my own, I've seen a couple of New Yankee Workshop, it all looks so easy !

Especially when you have a huge workshop with every kind of power tool. May as well have a go though, only gonna cost a few quid for some MDF.

My bad, thought you were rounding off someone else's speakers to reduce the indirect sound going into the room.

And yes, Norm is god.
