Quick faceplate question help

I was just wondering about speaker faceplates using banana plugs, like this

http://www.letsautomate.com/11997.cfm?

What connections are at the back of this unit? Do you just use normal speaker cable to go from the back of this unit to the back of another faceplate close to a hi-fi system. DO you solder the connections ?

Any help appreciated

Re: Quick faceplate question help

Hi mate. I use Nexxia. You don't have to solder - I've actually fed the whole cable through the holes (you can do this if the cable isn't tooo thick) so it runs straight from amp to speaker so there's a guarantee of no loss in quality. The faceplate is just a neat way of 'finishing' it.

Hope this helps.
