Someone has messed up!!!

I am in the process of a total overhaul in my livingroom. I have completed all of the electric work and the chasing of all of my AV Cables and Audio Cables. I have even drilled and mounted my Panasonic TH-58PZ700 into breeseblock walls with plaster finish. It was all going so well... until the Decorator started his preporation yesterday and instead of making sure that all the bolts were removed from my wall bracket (TV is safe back in its box ) he removed the first 9 without a problem but the remaining anchor bolt must have caused him a problem because he just worked the bolt free making the hole far to big for the anchor bolt in question .

So what shall I do to make this hole fit to drill again? I have filled it with mortar and am allowing that to go off, then I was thinking of drilling it out and using a Epoxy Resin Injector and filling it with Resin and then drilling it again.

Have other people had the same problem with a drilled hole being to big all advice would be great

Re: Someone has messed up!!!

not sure one bolts going to make that much of a difference if it had been 3 or 4 then try to fix it but as long as the other 9 are alright you should be fine.

i only have 4 bolts and 2 screws total for my 42inch tv so your nine should be fine.

Re: Someone has messed up!!!

I think the resin injection idea is a winner here, unless you get a larger anchor bolt for the hole.

my tv is nowhere as heavy as your, its a 40" lcd, weighs about 20kg and i only have 6 bolts holding it up,im sure you would be fine evern if you didnt put it in at all.Can you not just drill another hole to the left or the right of that hole?if the mount doesnt have a hole to the left or the right just dril another hole in the mount

Re: Someone has messed up!!!

I've cleaned a hole out (if it's dusty it won't work so well) and injected no more nails, then inserted a rawlplug and let the NMN go hard. It worked well but it wasn't holding up something as heavy as a plasma. But I would agree with wandgrudd that you probably have enough fixings already so that it shouldn't really be a problem.

Re: Someone has messed up!!!

I had a similar problem hanging my 32" dining room panny, with 2 holes, I did as the previous person, filled with no more nails and put raw plugs in. Let go off and put bracket up, still there and only has 4 holding it in total. If you have ten I would do the same, will be fine.

Re: Someone has messed up!!!

Cheers guys.

I don't think I have been through something quite as stressful as hanging a TV on the wall and getting some good advice from people who have had something similar happen or just have a better idea is a great relief!

We shall see tonight as to what the plan is
