Power advice needed

hi guys
im looking for some advice on what would be best to power my systems,
im in the middle of a major extension with cinema room downstairs and ill have 1 av cabnet that will house around 9 - 10 different av`s, amp, sky hd, 360, ps3, wii, cctv pc etc etc,

behind where the av cabnet will be i was thinking of wiring 6 double sockets to the main circuit board on its own ring main, so it will have nothing to do with the rest of the downstairs extension, it will be isolated from the rest of the house with its own breaker purely for what ever is in the cabnet,

would this way be better idea than just having one double socket behing the cabinet and connecting all the kit to 2 dedicated multi extension

also surge protectors i know nothing about them, would i need them or does connecting to its own ring mean i wont need one

cheers

Me too! Put a separate supply in for your sockets, and put yourself plenty of sockets in.
