carpet on a budget

im nearly ready for carpeting floor and side walls in loft cinema
what i need is a bargin carpet in black for side walls and end walls and red for the floor cheaper the better which looks ok with a short pile.
were did you guys get your carpets im in the north west, wigan/bolton area
any links or ideas

Re: carpet on a budget

To be honest mate, I'd go with black velvet on the walls & ceiling, rather than carpet. It'll be much less reflective, and you can pick it up for a few quid a metre. Carpet-wise, I'll be using some thin black carpet (they do red as well I think) from carpetright that doesn't require underlay...it literally just glues down to your boards/whatever. It's generally used in shops & so forth. I think it's about £4 or £5 a m2.
