Black Nickel Wall Plates AV + Ethernet

Hi,

I'm in the middle of renovating my whole house and plan to install a HT system / structured network

I plan to fit black nickel sockets and switches all over the house and i like the ones from screwfix

The only trouble is they dont do a matching ethernet faceplate

Anyone got any ideas ? Or could I modify a blank plate for ethernet use?

They do an Iridium black finish which is close to black nikel.
You can add different modules into the data grid face plates

thanks, they do a good range there, might lookat the differnet choice that they have

have you purchased some yourself? was wondering what the look/quality of them was like

I've used both the screwless ones and the flat plate (with screws). IMO the quality isn't as good as the grabtree / MK Electric range (MK do a similiar range with loads of modules but cost more!)
Never the less, for the price there ok.

Hi,

I use the Iridium data grid plates in our cinema room. One set has 2 x RJ45, BNC,Coax, the other I've modded with a brush strip behind it and is used as a cable outlet.

I bought the screwfix flat plate black nickel range. I have to go elsewhere for the ethernet ones. I used a local electrical wholesaler who got some "GET" flatplates in black nickel for me. They are an excact match for colour and appearance.

Also have a look at these. BG electricals screwless range is a close match for the Crabtree stuff.

I've got some on order myself as the do diplexed and triplexed RF sockets that crabtree don't cover in their range.

Don't know to be honest, might have to give them a call as I've been waiting a couple of weeks for mine order through a local supplier.
