Possible New Home Purchase, Setup?

Several of the new houses we are looking at all seem to have this above the fireplace hole setup. I keep looking at this wondering what people are doing with their tv's and audio setups??

The width of the hole is around 40.5, 37" high, 28" deep I'll be purchasing a new TV so any recommendations would be great. My biggest concern was where to stick the amp head for surround system, DVD player and cable box. I was shooting for around a 50" TV which looks to be another interesting challenge for this. Anyone have a similiar setup or good advice on this? Its a new construction home.

Re: Possible New Home Purchase, Setup?

This seems to be the house we are shooting for so I guess I get to rig something up. I am thinking of using a mount from either that back wall or a desk type mount to extend the tv out from the hole and up a bit. I would need one that extended a good 30 inches if mounted on the back wall. If I can get 6 or 8 inches of space below it I can put my dvd/amp directly on the shelf underneath the TV. This seems to be the only option I have thought of so far and requires the least amount of work. May also go the opposite way and keep the TV low and put a shelf above it with electronics up there.
