DTS & DOLBY Signs

Hi,

I'd like to make my own DTS and DOLBY signs for my room. Ive seen them going for silly money on ebay so thought this was a better option.

Im really just looking to get quality images like these to put in a frame :

The ones i can find on the net arent really good enough quality to print on A4 size paper, so i was hoping somebody might be able to share what they have

if any one has any hi-res jpeg's or PSD's id really appreciate it

Thanks

Matt

A google led me to this page.
Not all of them are large enough but some are pretty decent.

Re: DTS & DOLBY Signs

have a look on brandsoftheworld and use the search tool at the bottom of the page. Should hopefully be nice vector versions of both. If not, see if there's a SVG version on wikipedia. When i have more time i'll try to look for you.

Re: DTS & DOLBY Signs

Slightly off topic and very sorry for hijacking the thread. Quick q for SBowler. In respect of the Pearl & Dean intro how do you get that to play as part of the intro to a dvd which is backed up on your pc? I've tried it but find that i've got to click on the actual pearl and dean video first then once its played play the film which is non sensical. Any advice? Or do you deal with this by re-authoring the dvd.

Re: DTS & DOLBY Signs

Dolby used to sell these directly a few years ago. I remember because I bought mine from Ebay then found it loads cheaper from the Dolby site. Doh!

Heres a link I've found but it looks like they aren't doing them at the moment.

Posters and DVDs available though, which might be of interest to you...

photoshop is designed for raster images rather than vector based, svg is basically xml used to describe positions of points for a 2D graphic, you can use something as simple as a text editor or a vector graphics editor like the open source Inkscape.

Aren't these images under copyright? If so surely reproducing them without permission from dobly/dts would be illegal?

Its not as if they are being sold on or anything..... not that you would get anything for them anyway

Smile Re: DTS & DOLBY Signs

Sorry for seeming to drag up an old topic, but I'm about to do this myself using some images I got from some Yahoo group some time back. I've finally found them in the recesses of my work PC and was wondering if they were shareable?

I have four HUGE, high quality TIFFs. They are the first four pics in the attachments (obviously, scaled down majorly )

The original files are 5300 x 3800 and incredible quality. They're also 60 odd meg per pic, so it's not like I can just email them out - anyone any ideas on how to share these beauties?

The next ones are lower quality, but look pretty good when they are printed out, so might be of some interest. These are only about 1.5 meg each and in bmp format - again, any ideas on how best to share these out?

Just trying to give something back to this wonderful forum If I could remember where I got them from in the first place, I'd simply send you there....

..and whilst typing this out and uploading them, I've found the original zips for the biggies - 5mb a piece - might help?

Let me know what anyone wants me to do!

Re: DTS & DOLBY Signs

I could certainly host a couple in my downloads section of my website, I think I still have lots of MB left of 750 limit.
Don't know how you'd get them to me though.

I used to use www.mooload.com but the server isn't responding for me at the mo. There's no registration etc with mooload or wasn't.

I like that first blue DTS one though, very nice.

EDIT: Just noticed you have 5MB Zips for the biggies... email them to me and I'll upload them on my site if you want.
