Firstly, apoligies if this is the wrong forum to post this into, i've not been here much before only to view some post. If it is the wrong area please move it.

My Problem:

I have a Sony Surround Sound Amp and Sub with 5 speakers, 2 front , 2 rear and one centre.

I have just done a test on the remote (Think they call it Test Zone!) and although sound comes out of each speaker , when i compare the back two speakers , there seems to be slightly more sound comming out of the Left rear speaker than there is comming out of the rest of the speaker, certainly more if i compare it to the Right rear.

Anyone know any logical reason why this might be ? , i've been into the setup and made sure that the sure the distances between the speakers are fine , at the moment they are all set to the default which is 3.0 , but if you were standing next to the right one , the left speaker is noticable louder than the right one.

First thing I would do is swap the speaker connections at the amp. If the problem stays with the same speaker, then there's a problem with that speaker. If the problem swaps, then it's something in the amp (or possibly wiring but unlikely).

Do the speakers have more than one unit in them?

Maybe you've blown a tweeter?

Does the noise sound "Muffled" or just lower level?

Thanks i will have a look at that

It seems that speaker is given out more noise thean the other three speakers not just the other rear.

I will try swapping them later, to see what happens, there just box standard sony surround sound speakers, i don't have them that loud so suprised if they were to of blown.

I don't think it's muffled although to be honest i am not sure what to look for just seems a low level which is noticable compared to the rest of them.
