Speaker cables in concrete floor

Hi

I am currently doing up my lounge and want to run cables though the floor, I plan on chopping a channel throught the floor. My question is do i need to place the cables in trunking or can I just lay the cable in concrete?

Also does anyone have and know the size of QED SILVER ANNIVERSARY speaker cable?

Many thanks in advance

Re: Speaker cables in concrete floor

i would lay them in some sort of trunkin/capping, There will be chemicals in concrete that will eventually rot the cable.

Yep; definitely use trunking.
