Well 2 years ago I bought a flat, when I first saw it, it was a $%£ hole, but it did have a perfect flat wall ! I knew it would be perfect. Let the project begin.......

Me and the girlfriend move in and we live like a pair of pikeys while I renovate the bedrooms, kitchen, bedrooms and hallway. 1/5 years pass by and that wall is just begging for a plasma.

The Samsung arrives and I quickly set it up. Note we can not afford curtains so I improvise with the TV's cardboard box for a while.

I borrowed an angle grinder and chiseller of a buddy and chased out the wall for the cables. The dust was phenomenal, it took days to clear up

First try of the Samsung and the Yamaha sound projector. Not quite right, but not bad for the first go.

Just another shot to show we did get some blinds in the end

This is where all the kit is stored. Its a cupbaord under the stairs.

There's my web server, my multimedia PC, SKY HD box, DVD player (crap cheapo one soon to be replaced) and my humax 9200. Also there's my wireless router, my cordless telephone and my video sender to send ditial tv to our bedroom. I couldn't be bothered wiring there. Amazingly there's no interfernece with that lot.

I'm getting a harmony 1000 on Tuesday, so I'll be able to close the door of that lot.

Wallpaper now on and putting the final touches to making the plasma and sound projector level

She's up. Yehaa!

another shot clkearly showing no wires at all, which I was admant was going to happen

Another shot showing we're still living like a pair of gypsies, but hey were pikeys with a 50 in plasma!

The parquet floor has been sanded and varnished and monday we get some new settees so we are now quite posh. Not bad from a Gorton lad.

Re: Chez Perez

Louishm, yep Gorton, Manchester as in Welcome to Sunny. I don;t live there anymore, but took my girlfriend to the set of Shameless, she wasn't to impressed, I think she was expecting Universal Studios.

Watching midget pron on such a large screen would surely defeat the object, Imean they'd be giants!
