I know the plates you mean, I use them on installs.
I have only EVER seen them in white though.

Re: brush face plates...where to get

You can get metal faceplates with the centres cut out. You insert custom modules into them.

Perhaps you could get hold of these, and some cheap letter boxes (for the bristles) and make up your own?

along the lines of something i am conjuring up,the chrome ring around ceiling downlights are spring clipped and i have loads spare from my house rewire, put my own bristles in there and spring clipp holds in place over the hole, wonderful finish as it happens, proper professional and dead cheap.

Re: brush face plates...where to get

Hi,

I bought the brush faceplate, which is a network outlet blank plate. When I looked, I'd bet money those bristles are simply lengths cut from a draught excluder which have been stuck in. I was in Wilkinsons on Saturday and saw extremely similar brush strips for door bottoms. I'm therefore tempted to cut a hole in a nickel blank faceplate, and epoxy a bit of the excluder to the back.

Cheers,
MarkP
