LCD back Lighting

Just thought i'd post to show you what i did today.... Inspired by phillips ambi light i got some lights from ikea and stuck them to the back of my tv. Obviously they are a fixed colour unlike on the phillips but for 20 quid i'm pleased with the results

Re: LCD back Lighting

An old thread but I was in Asda today and spotted in the section that sells plugs bulbs and general leccy things something called a Multi Purpose LED Light.

It takes 3 AA batteries and the light being LED they should last for ages.

I bought one and was intending to put it on the wall behind the TV with bluetack, but the light has small magnets and the back panel of my plasma is metal so even better.

It throws out a blue/white light and looks the business.

You can't go wrong for £2.90, the batteries will probably cost more.
