Cat 8 installation

Hi all,
I have just bought some cat8 cable.
I need help running lengths of this in my 2 bedrooms flat in North London.
I have looked at the floors and they are chipboard.
The boards are quite big and screwed down.
The screws come out easily.
The problem is the boards use tongue and groove.
I can't get the boards up.
Also the joists all run the wrong way so would need drilling.
I can wire up the stuff myself.
I just need someone to lay the cables under the floor say 4 runs to each room.
I'm not sure if they should go under the walls or through them.
All the walls are partitions.
Would someone be prepared to help me?
I have 125 meters of Cat 8 cable.
So there would be quite a lot left over.
Any takers,
James

Re: Cat 8 installation

Do you have skirting boards? If so it may be easier to remove the skirting and put the cable behind them. Alternatively if you have carpeting you could also cut a channel the same size as the cable into the top of the floorboards (put the channel close to the walls were nobody walks) when you refit the carpet the cables are neatly hidden away. When you refit the skirting use screws so you can easily access the cables later for maintenace or upgrade.

Re: Cat 8 installation

You could use trunking

See this thread
Trunking for cables to Wallmounted LCD

Re: Cat 8 installation

What about the bend radius.
Do I have to worry about bending it around corners and stuff?
James.
