New Insulation

Guys,

My garage already has stud walls on 3 on the sides. I'm putting a false wall behind the garage door and laying a false floor to make the start of my cinema room.

I don't know if the current 3 stud walls have heat / sound insulation at the back of them I really need to get up into the garage's attic space and have a gander. If they don't whats the best way to insulate / soundproof the room ?

Thanks

Keith

Re: New Insulation

Hi Jock

You could put a double skin of sound absorbent plasterboard up with insulation in between.

Hope the move went smooth.

Hi Chrome,

good to see you back.

The move went very well thanks, just tying one or two loose ends up with the lawyer for the sale of Margaret's old place.

I've had a word with a mate of mine who's a flooring contractor and he reassures me he can get his hands on some sound absorbant stuff which we can place directly onto the wall. I'm leaving it in his trusty hands.

Once it's all done and dusted you must pop round and have a wee look.

Jon, thanks for your input.

Keith
