My new setup nearly finished

Any thoughts / comments - room used to be olde worlde old brick fireplace and beams etc- a complete change

Lovely!
This is what I had intended to do, but SWMBO said we are moving, apparently...so now I'm not.

But...where did you get/what is the fire effect, stone effort, thing you have below it?

That looks very similar to what I am currently doing. Although I have the chimney breast in place already. I am also building my equipment into the old fire place. Hopefully get a few pictures up when I move things out the way.

Hi Skeet
Thanks for the comments. The large stone that you see in the fireplace is a gel burner so you can have real flames without a flue or chimney. Works really well. The other stones around it were pinched from my brother in law who happened to be having a cobble path laid at the time. The Gel burner I bought off the internet from a companny called would you believe "The Pebble company" (www.thepebblecompany.com.) However the guy who runs it is a real pain in the a**e he kept me waiting for weeks and never replied to any messages or calls I had to threaten him in the end to get my goods so I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Good luck with your install.
