Where to source speaker wall plates etc?

Guys,

I shall finally be hiding all my cables this weekend! However, I need to source various speaker wall plates etc. Can anyone give me some good suppliers of said items?

I am after the following:

5.1 surround speaker wall plate
twin banana plug speaker wall plates
'Breakout' box for the Pioneer 436XDE umbilical cord

Thanks,
Mark

letsautomate.co.uk sell a nice RussSound 5.1 wall plate banana plug plates. The 5.1 plate is from the US though and needs an extra deep (70mm?) US style back box.

The banana plug plates are standard single gang UK fitment.

Thanks guys.

In the end I went for some QED plates. Firstly because having just spent the best part of £7000 I didn't want crappy quality connectors and secondly the QED have screw fittings rather than solder. I don't fancy soldering some fairly large, stiff speaker cables to tons of little itty bitty little solder tags. QED plates were £14.50 compared to £5 but, as with nearly everything in this game, you tend to get what you pay for!

Rgds,
Mark

A friend of mine has QED wall plates and says they aren't very good! I'll find out why...

Well, I think I'd rather struggle with that than trying to get the wire soldered to the back of them!!!!

Let me/us know what he says!

If thats all it is, as opposed to any sound degradation, then they should be fine. I too would rather struggle with that than solder, but i am also interested in what he has to say.

Apparently they are not made by QED. They are well built and look good but he had problems connecting Silver Anniversary into the back of them.... the hole is smaller than SA?
