connecting hi def equipment

Hi All,

The 12 month defect period is nearly ending on my new place so I can soon put nails in the walls - and a TV!

Not sure how I need to connect everything though. Would it benefit from one of those Lumagen things - expensive but if it works then I will justify it! TV's tend to only have one HDMI input don't they?

Will have Pioneer HDTV plasma.
would like a hi def DVD recorder but don't know if it exists.
xbox 360
ps3 when it gets here!
Homechoice set top box

The other dilemma is speakers. I need something that will be good from the front as I am not ripping up all my floor to lay cables. Would I then need and amp thrown in the mix - another thing to connect. Amp might be worth it though to connect my mixer/dj stuff to - but then I need to make sure the speakers are loud enough for a house party! Damn this is annoying me - keep finding more and more!

Any ideas/suggestions appreciated.

Hi, this is the diy section and is for diy specific items. If you have connection questions you are best asking in those specific forums. Your question is best broken down into the individual parts, so any diy specific questions please fire away in this forum
