Hi all was just wandering if anybody has ever fit 1 of these to the celing and how they did it and aso was wandering if any 1 has home made one

I too bought one of these projectors just before xmas and am looking at ways to fix it to my ceiling. Will let you know how I get on, just need a bit of help from the blokes at work so fingers crossed eh!

Btw what do you think of the projector, I think it's a smashing bit of kit for 380 quid.

absolutely brill m8 and i only paid 360 quid have you got yours throgh componant lead on prog scan coz the difference is brill

I ceiling mounted my et1 and much prefer it that way, haven't had any issues. I just got a cheap and unsightly adjustable mount on ebay for £40 and modified it slightly so it looks acceptable now. The mount is fully extended to 70cm which means i don't have to use keystone. However, since the projector has no optical zoom you just need to make sure you get the distance to the screen just right. Good luck!

I have noticed the filter in TLP-et1 gets dusty very fast when ceiling mounted.I started cleaning the filter at about 50hours after having few dust blobs in the LCD panels.

yeah, i did get some dust blobs too recently. i hadn't thought about it but maybe ceiling mounting it was part of the cause then...
Did you manage to get rid of the dust blobs? I've tried spraying air into all the gaps but to no avail. I'm guess i'll probably have to open it up to spray the lcd panels.

No,I wasn't able to get the panels clean with the spray air.I needed to use some alcohol to clean the panels.Maybe because the dust blobs were there for too long time before the air spray cleaning attempt.

Yep,best to open it and spray some air in it(warranty?),that may still help.Be careful with the spray canister thought,sometimes they can spray liquid.Also point the nozle to the LCD panel only,there is a square "glass prism" between the three LCD panels.There are several very thin pieces of qlass layered between each LCD panel and the "glass prism",if you manage to spray some of this liquid between these qlasses you are in trouble....

For the air spray cleaning you only need to open the enclosure,there is a hole in the PCB board to get the nozle in to the LCD panels.

awesome, i managed to get rid of all the dustblobs! It took me three attempts at opening it up and spraying it with air before they all went but at least i didn't have to take it take out the lcd screens to clean them. Thanks again!
