Question Speaker and power wiring - advice needed

Hi,

My electrician is about to re-wire the my new house, and I've asked him to install speaker cable and wall plates in the living room for my 5.1 system. Question for you: can he run the speaker cables along the power ones, if not how far should they be?

what's your advice?

i dont think it is a problem running speaker cables next to power cables, the only thing that you shouldnt really run near power cables is coax
