Beginner needing some inspiration (pictures) for designing a theatre room

Hi
This is the first time i will be designing one of the rooms in my house. I managed to convince my parents to let me create a theatre/cinema room.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of any sites or threads that have pictures of fully completed cinema rooms, or if any members could post their own pics. I need some inspiration first, then after that i can begin the planning.
THANK YOU in advance

Not sure if out-of-site linking is allowed, but www.digital16-9.com I find is awesome for inspiration. Beats looking at the US sites and dreaming of having such a huge space, alot of the European cinemas are much more down to Earth.

I'll second the digital16-9 link.

It's got examples of just about every type of install and they're mostly 'real life' rather than the expensive custom design theatres the US are fond of.

Hello guys!
I am one of digital16-9 administrator. Thanks for visiting our website and I am really happy to hear that you saw some interesting stuff.
Do you think it could be possible to open a new thread in order to present digital16-9 on a more official way to other avforum members? Who should I contact?
Thanks again

Read up on room acoustic treatments too. Its the sort of thing thats far less hassle to factor in on the install rather than cure problems when the kit is installed.

This is very true, if your building from new its easy to make it good, if your working on a room thats already built there are some top notch treatments available, especially the RPG Powerbuys.

Hi Fred,
Get in touch with the forum administrator Stuart Wright via PM or email and let him know your thoughts. I'm sure he'd be happy to arrange a mutual link-through or something similar.

I stumbled over the ******.co.uk gallery section yesterday, check that out. Lots of regulars here have their rooms up on there it seems.

Also:

http://www.everyoneshometheater.com
www.poundstv.co.uk
http://www.homecinemachoice.com/arti...ema%20Showcase

plus the avsforums gallery - I tend to look at the sig's of the people posting in the Home Theater builder and over $3500 projectors sections - although I'm not wild on the american styles of decorating.
