ceiling mounted screen enclosure ideas

anyone do this or have ideas< i want to mount the 100" screen to the ceiling but then enclose it in a oak wood or so box..and just have the bottom of the screen sticking out of a slit in the box.

Built mine into the ceiling and hid with coving... looked nice when I lived there.

Very nice job!What if you have problems with screen? Do you have to rip it all down?
I am thinking of doing something like that but with maybe a removable panel on bottom.

Well if I still lived there then yes the bottom would have to come off, but in all fairness it wouldn't take much to put it back up and re-skim. A detachable bottom probably would've made more sense but it would mean another lot of visible joins.

Spoke to the guy who bought the place off me a couple of weeks ago and he was still gushing about watching the olympics on it.
