Painting TV

Hi Guys, odd question I know but I was wondering what your opinions would be for me to paint my TV.

Its got a couple of scuffs round the frame at the front surrounding the screen that really bug me. Basically I figured it would be easy enough to mask off the screen etc and respray the whole front frame. Just wondered if there was any advice anyone has to offer such as types of paint, whether I should sand it down or if its just a bad idea??!

Oh and my TV is silver by the way
