ive noticed that when the neighbors have got the music on nextdoor to me, i can hear everything! even when theyre just talking, i can hear it word for word.
how could i try to make the wall a little more soundproof?
i was thinking of getting the whole wall plasterboarded and skimmed, would that be a good idea?
and/or is there any sort of environmental health problem with this sort of thing that i could chuck at my landlord?

any help or advice would go down a treat

thx for the link, but i was looking for a pretty cheap way of doing it, anyone know if plasterboarding it would do much??

Hiya chap, you could baton the wall and apply Rockwool slabs(I think!) then plasterboard and a skim of plaster. However as you're renting the place, I wouldn't do it, IMO it'd be a waste of your cash.
Any chance of re-arranging wall units, cupboards etc? May be an idea to experiment first with a pair of heavy curtains or similar to gauge the effects of the dampening.
