Auto Screen Drop

Does anyone know any way to automatically lower an Owl 8ft screen if your projector does not have the "send signal" out type connection.

I understand there is a box of tricks that detect a voltage decrease and can lower but how would this handle a remote macro that fires up the DVD / AMP & Projector etc. etc. (only want to lower on the projector)

Apart from RF, is there anyother way?

Bascially anyway where using a IR remote the screen can automatcially lower?

Any ideas?

So what you need is an interface to make the csreen lower on any IR command?

I know a product that will do the job, it just depends what budget you have in mind.

Take a peek here: (PDF data sheet etc)
Marata MCU-300-4

Not sure of a retail on them as they're mostly used on CI jobs.

I'm using a Somfy ERIT728840, AC Motor IR Receiver. It comes with remote which you can use or learn into a pronto for example. Will interface with any 4 wire screen. I think it retails at £130 roughly, but again, this was a CI by my installer, have a search on the web.

Why not just add a +12v feed out of your amp to a £1 relay?

That will cost you next to nothing for the complete solution....
