Help with this idea

Hi guy's i need some help with electric's i can do it, just need your input on how i can tidy it all up, and see if there is a need for the 2g socket behind the stereo and dvd player, i would just like the one FCU and the brush plate's.

Thank's for any help, and i'm new to the forum.

Hi, my personal opinion would be when possible try to retain a ring, and to do this I would, replace the twin you have with 2 singles so you can split the ring and then extend the ring from these to the new locations and re-join the ring at that point. For the TV I would just fit a standard switched socket and use the plug top that comes with the TV for fuse protection, don't see the point of having a switched fuse outlet. Hope this helps, also if you wanted power in the loft you could add a socket in there as well.

Hi
I tend to agree with Askpakers you have basically got to retain the ring main what you are doing is taking a spur of the socket and with new regs you can only have one socket or fused connection unit on that spur.
