Question Flat screen wall mounting advice

Hi.
I am having my JVC lcd flatscreen installed on the wall above fireplace . My sky and dvd player will be in another room.
The wall is an exterior wall so the installer has told me the easiest thing to do is to to drill through the wall and have x2 scart sockets (plus x2 hdmi cables for future use) go though the wall and run along the outside of the house and then come back into the house near where I want the sky and dvd.
Does have anyone have thoughts about this? I'm worried about the size of the hole required to get the scart socket through. The tv does have x2 hdmi connections but my current dvd and sky do not - could I just use hdmi leads and have some type of convertor to connect to sky and dvd.
Any help appreciated

Surley he means run the cables through the cavity of the wall and not to drill directly out to the outside of the house.

Re: Flat screen wall mounting advice

thanks for replies.

Deansocial - sounds like this could be a good option. Would the quality of picture suffer using the s-video from the sky rather than using scart?

Coulter51 - yes he means to run the wires to the oustside of the house and then along the outside wall and back into the house where the equipment will be. I'm not sure of it.
